Is this being worked on? I actually did have some problems transfering large amounts of data to my second hard drive with Nautilus. Sometimes it would quit half way through only moving half the files. This was an hour after I did a fresh reformat/install of RH9. I used Windows 2000 to create a 32MB FAT32 partition, the maximum size allowed.

In your fstab file turnoff the file system check, labeled ,in Debian,
'pass' i.e. The swap entry is '0' '0'. I haven't had any issues using a
vfat partition on my laptop which is a shared data partition.

# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
/dev/sda5 / ext3 errors=remount-ro 0 1
#/dev/sda1 none swap sw,pri=2 0 0
