I don't know which lpd Slack comes with, but the older distro's use the normal
BSD lpr, and expected apsfilter (/usr/lib/apsfilter/SETUP or
/usr/share/apsfilter/SETUP) to do any printer-specific rasterisation. If
they've changed to lprng, the procedure might be a bit different.

If you do have the BSD lpr, just run the setup script mentioned above, and it
will add the printcap entry needed. Otherwise, read the lprng docs.
