Well, I wouldn't go so far as that. Most don't say Winmodem IIRC,
'Winmodem' is a trademark of 3Com, or USRobotics so they probably can't;
not that being a winmodem is anything to brag about anyway :)
Any internal pci modem under 50 bucks is most likely a winmodem
(unfortunately) so unless you can use ISA, you are probably stuck with
spending 50-100 dollars on a hardware PCI modem or an external modem.
