Well, I have a static ip from GCI...but even if I had a dynamic ip, I would
still be able to go in and change. Yes, I am paying for the DNS as well, but
when I talked to GCI on the phone about it, they said for them to actually host
my domain, it would cost something like an extra $10 a month, which I found to
be ridiculous when I am already getting it basically for free. The only thing
that I am unable to do, at least at this moment, is have a reverse DNS set up.
But, I have been told that if I run my own DNS server, I can set it up so that
reverse dns would work, I am unsure on this and haven't tested it yet, but I will
soon. Anyways, the point is this, I don't like paying extra for things that I
already have, so that is why I like ehost to host my domain. If my info that I
got from GCI is wrong, then I would be more than happy to sit down and talk with
you about it over the phone, if you want to give me a call.
