OK, I'll chime in with mine. I have (had?) a 3tb external Seagate. We
have some serious power brown-downs, and the controller board fried a
chip. When I moved the disk to another external container, it does not
spin up, which suggests that the motor is fried. Other than John's open
heart surgery, any suggestions?
