There is an easy test to see if you have a hardware problem. Boot Ubuntu
from a CD or USB and try Facebook. If everything works fine then you
know that the hardware is fine.

At that point you will know you need to reinstall Windows. Or just
install Ubuntu and make your friends here happy.
