As stated, I had no Internet access save 3G on my iPhone (barely) at the tim=
e, have no Facebook account (and won't), and will not use *buntu. Helix Live=
 CD is far better- but still no web access or Facebook account precludes tha=
t. There was no suspecting a hardware problem because the kbd worked fine in=
 at least 3 other apps.

It's fixed for days now - thanks for the reply. I do have web access now wit=
h a ZTE WCDMA 3G device from Verizon.
