Did you install OpenOffice on the RH workstation from the RH 8 install
disks, or from another source? If you did install from the install
disks, did you run the iso-check routine. We have found that a few of
the disks given out at the Expo were bad. I think the people doing the
burning were getting a little tired. Not me of course, but one of the
other guys :-)

The normal workstation installs default to installing OpenOffice on RH
8. If you also installed a binary of OpenOffice from another source over
the top of what was already there, that might have messed things up.

I have done a couple of installs of RH 8 on different computers and not
had any trouble with OpenOffice. Liking or not liking RH I would say is
a separate issue.
