Now that I am no longer a Mandrakesoft Employee, I can speak my mind about
Lindows.

I think, genuinely, it is the worst of all worlds--It is proprietary, and
tries to keep the door open to all sorts of proprieatry apps. It logs you in
as root by default, and doesn't even tell you about regular users, So it
doesn't work that well running windows apps, it doesn't work that well (as
root) running a lot of linux apps; its hardware support is seriously
impaired, and its security is nonexistent. Lindows could be just as big a
virus transport as Windows except fortunately they haven't figured out how to
give apps DIRECT access to the kernel yet, only the implied access of running
as root.
