Re: adding users in RaQ

I've found an adduser, useradd and groupadd in usr/sbin. But trying to
use them produces no results. I can add users and groups by editing the
respective files Bryan mentioned, but not knowing a whole lot of what
I"m doing - and trying to follow this Samba cookbook approach, I find it
difficult to add users and passwords.

I'm wondering how to 'activate'? these commands. I tried chmod a+x
<filename> off some help website and no luck there.

Maybe I'm not getting root access to them. My prompt looks like [root
/]#, as I've telnetted in as admin and then typed su and entered the
password. But I am able to do lots of other stuff...

Any help? hmmm... lunchtime.. later..

cheers, JD
