I used this to fix this probelm:

insmod /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/kernel/drivers/cdrom/cdrom.o

Once I did it, it said that /dev/cdrom alreay existed, but it if it anyhow. I
never got to checking the fstab and what not. Thanks anyway.
