My thoughts exactly. :)

The funny thing is...that controller has been running flawlessly ever since
Mandrake 7.0 (2.2.x) until now (currently running under 2.4.12). Just
doesn't seem to like the module, eh?

I remember seeing this mentioned when i was looking for solutions. But
rearranging the array is not one of my options. :)

Hmm...but I don't have my own driver compiled. I'm of the "monolithic
kernel" mind set. Especially when it comes to servers.

I will try this. Thanks for the tip. I'll at least be able to install with
the 2.2.x, then once I'm up and running, "revert" to the good 2.4.12 kernel.

Thanks for the tips. You'll be hearing from me. Whether it works or not. :)
