The main advantage of the box set is you get the printed manules. additional
software and Support from the vendors . If you don't need the hand holding ,
Can read the online documentation you can save a bundel by buying a cheap
CD from linuxmall or cheapbytes for say $5.00 . The cheap CD's have the core
programs of the distbution and can get you going . However if your working
on a project that is mission critical , by that I mean big bucks are involved
your better off spending the 50 or 100 dollars for the box set just so you
can pick up the phone and talk to a teck if you get stuck somewhere.

I have sucessufuly used both kinds of distbutions the box set and the cheap
CD. in fact I order a six pack of cheap CD's to experment with evey
generation of Linux . I get all the distburtions for around $10.00 to
play with from linuxmall.com . Then if one strikes my fancy I'll get the
boxed set.

hope this help ya

Greg
