Rick,
According to the Baystack 304 manual, if you lose the password to the
switch you need to call Bay Networks for assistance in resetting the
factory defaults. Bay Networks is now owned by Nortel Networks.
Good Luck...

I have a Baystack 304 switch that I bought on e-bay.
It has been working just fine for me for over a year but now I want to
make
use of some of it's features.

I am able to make a terminal connection but I can't get past the
password
prompt, cause I don't have the password. I've tried the default
password.
I have been able to access the Boot Options but can only change the IP
address, subnet, etc.

Does anyone know of a way to do a hard reset of this switch?? or any
way to
get or change the password??

Thanks,

Rick Dennis
