Is anyone on the list familiar with Yext Web listing services?
Basically, I'm wondering if their $500/yr services are really worth the
money, so far they would translate (indirectly) into improved search
engine rankings. With our particular business situation, I don't really
care so much whether or not people can look us up in whitepages.com or
these other sites, but rather how well we do in actual Google/Yahoo
searches. I was inclined to just forget about Yext, but their (rather
intense) marketer gave me an energetic spiel about how having your
information synchronized across 50 Web sites will dramatically improve
your search engine rankings. So, now I'm wondering: Is there much truth
to that? Or would the money be better put towards actual Google/Yahoo
Web ads?
Any thoughts?
