I built asimov.uaa.alaska.edu quite a few years ago, and while it is
hosted by the UAA Library, reverse DNS is tightly controlled by the UAA
campus-wide IT group. Unfortunately they have never paid much attention
to DNS in general. Without knowing the proper contact info for the UAA IT
folks anymore, you could always start with the technical contact in the
whois info for alaska.edu:

    ua-oit-its-ne-dept@alaska.edu

They should at least be able to steer you in the right direction to the
proper UAA contact.
