I likewise am using alienlayer openvz: overall nice service for real
cheap. Downside is that the response to downtime is pretty slow. I had
a VPS go offline on a Friday night, and nobody looked at the ticket
until Monday. Once they installed a new kernel and forgot to include
an important iptables module, which caused some of my services to
become inaccessible for a little while. In summary: You have to be
willing to put up with a few days of downtime from time to time.

Their KVM service looked cool, but I wouldn't use it after I found out
that the only way to log in the first time is through a Java app on
their Web site. This is a problem for a purist like myself who refuses
to install a Java VM.
