[aklug] Re: Routers that have DHCP reservation enabled

dd-wrt claims to be LGPL (not GPL)which I always thought was close
enough.

I don't know that it really matters which one of the ones mentioned here
is chosen. I think they'll all fill most of our needs. I do however like
the idea of picking 1 and sticking to it. Just for consistency's sake.
It's nice not having to remember multiple ways of doing the same task.

This is also why I've never tended to be one of these "flavor of the
week" Linux people. I did make short jaunts into Debian and Suse and a
longer on into Gentoo in the past. Gentoo is the only one I've found
that I would seriously consider switching to on a personal level.

I tend to have 2 or 3 routers around. I have one at the office, one at
home and one I take on Friday nights. The ones at home and the office
run dd-wrt even though they are Buffalo & D-Link.. The one for Fridays
does not, but it was a freebie and I didn't have any say (I did look it
up to see if it could be converted),
