[aklug] PGP/GPG and attachments, yet again.

The question has come up yet again about encrypted email (as opposed to 'signed' email.
 I understand the difference).

The potential users are technophobes and want/need things to Just-Fsck-n'Work. And
those of us who are not quite technophobe are the same way. If something's not
simple/seamless, it's not going to be used. It's that simple.

Anyway...

Most users are outlook/exchange users. Some of us use Thunderbird. No pine users.
There's heavy use of attachments, often multiple attachments on the same mail, as well
as cc: and bcc:.

When last I looked at this some years ago, GPG and related didn't handle attachments
seamlessly, or even well, on either the sending or recieving end. Is this still the
case? If not, what are folks using?

thanks!
