I've used Serendipity (http://s9y.org) for quite a while now.
- relatively light weight
- easy to use
- has an in-system plugin installer (no need to download/un-targz/copy;
just click "install" from the admin interface).
- Can easily do "farms" (they all use their own DB, but they share a
common code base)
