You shouldn't. Just keep the antivirus up to date, and make sure that
auto-updates are enabled for Windows, Adobe, Java and Flash. Acrobat
and Flash in particular are very popular attack vectors of late and I
just saw an article (haven't read it) this morning saying that there's a
wave of java exploits coming in the Near Future.
Other thing that I usually do is reduce the default cache size in IE to
between 25 & 50 MB. Don't know what the default is for W7, but IIRC it
was 2% of the drive in XP. There's no reason someone needs a multi-gig
temp folder but that's what you end up with, given todays hard drives...
