Hey I have this issue. I haven't figured it out either. Somehow the keymap
on the host, Linux, is being reset. i would not think Vmawre could reset
the hosts keymap but the common thread here is Vmware. The only other
thing I have notice is it happens when I am using Vmware and Openoffice.
I use Open office in a Windows VM and Openoffice in he host at the same
time. I haven't figured out how to have two different Openoffice apps
open at the same time on two different screens, dual monitors., and no ,
I don't want to do Xinerama :-)
It gets really bothersome when the capslock key is enabled when this
happens, you can't enter 'setxkbmap', its SETXKBMAP' , no shift key :-)
