I'm in a similar situation. I've been using wrap boards for that, and they work well I have 2 external enclosed ones and 1 internal enclosed
one. each have two mini-pci ports and a single serial port (no vga)
Instead of shipping some off to a company where I needed to log serial data.. I ended up buying several laptops on craigslist that have legacy
serial support. They are nice because when you have a laptop with a working battery.. hey! free UPS!

Anyways.. I know you know all about the cyclades console servers and rariton/startech IP-KVM with serial support. I like the RPORT modules
along side the startech IP-KVM. Little linux based IP-KVM devices - no SDK however.
