I agree, cwrsync is nice because it understands windows ACL. Makes
backups very easy.. so I fell in love with it when I had to deal with
doze machines a lot.

Alternatively however, cygwin was king. It gave me all the tools I
needed to get teh job done. you know? rsync, ssh, a shell that's
worth a dang..

coLinux came in to play when i started wanting a bit more than just
cygwin. It's a port of the linux kernel to windows. Very odd stuff.
