I know of no other fs on Linux that will allow you to grow a partition
while it's still mounted, so that alone is enough for me to love XFS.
However it's also one of the best performing filesystems available for
Linux. There are some things you can tweak with ext3 that can help quite
a bit but from the comparisons I've seen, even optimized for highest
performance it still falls short of XFS.
