Looks like that did the trick Josh.

You may very well be right about it really being a problem with Ecartis.
When I first started up the lists at the UAA library (wow, almost 10 years
ago), Mailman was still in its early stages and very crappy. Majordomo
was very prevalent but it didn't quite do everything I wanted, so I
settled on Ecartis.

Unfortunately the Ecartis developers are very open about the software
doing what they want at this point, and having no interest whatsoever in
developing it further. Maybe someone with interest will take it over--who
knows. If I were going to set up another list server, it would probably
be with Mailman.
