At the risk of starting a distro war because I am unfamiliar with the
group. have you ever considered smoothwall? I believe that IPcop was
forked from the source of smoothwall. I used it a a former employer's
and they have had the same fw running for 4 years now with out a
breach.

there are corperate and FOSS versions, I think the corperate version
was the reason that caused the fork. the company that mantains the
software closed some of the source to ensure a profit base.
