I've been pretty darn happy with my WRT54GS and OpenWRT.
I previously had sveasoft, which wasn't bad either.
The router sits under the desk, and I don't have any coverage issues
around the house. Speeds are nominal -- although my lappy486 is
only 802.11b, instead of .11g. Sigh.
