amd64: Well, Some Joy (Mirror at 51%)

I got the beast running in "repair" mode (single user, only root can log
in), installed some of my must have utilities (apache, vim, lynx, and
after apache was installed, dwww), then used lynx to do a google-linux
search for "ati 5955". I found one site for gentoo that listed my
machine (HP Pavilion zv6000 series) and mentioned the ATI Mobility
Radeon Xpress 200 series graphics adapter. Well, gentoo doesn't have any
magic driver. They just use the vesa driver, but it did point out to
disable the vga driver. Not overly satisfactory, but I can use it now
and I will be able to join the throngs seeking a full fledged, full
featured, GPL'd, driver for this ATI chip.
