I do run dnscache on each box. I can't remember where I put at one time
the .13 address. The .2 box is my email fetcher (it just runs fetchmail
to collect my pop3 email). Thanks for the tip. Nothing like many
eyeballs! I think the 192.5.6.30 is a root DNS server. So maybe I need
to adjust the firewall to allow DNS requests through. I don't remember
doing anything in the past couple of weeks that would have changed its
behavior, but then again, just updating some utilities may have had an
effect.
