I'm asking because I've had so much trouble with Gentoo and Vmware (there a bug in gentoo-sources-2.4.22-r5) that I'm moving my box to Debian testing. But before I get to deep I'd like to know if anyone on the list runs vmware under Debian.

I have been runing Vmware & Testing for a few months now. I compiled my
own kernel & headers that I have used that works well with Vmware. I am
not sure, but at one time I thought some kernels worked better than
others with Vmware. I used the 2.4.20 kernel source from Debian. I think
with the latest Vmware 4.x this isn't an issue.

The Vmware list has folks running the 2.6 kernel, with patches for
Vmware, so I think most issues get worked out.
