A printer that uses samba to access it. It could be a printer attached
to the parallel port of a Windows box, or a network printer with a
netbios port (Windows).

The printer driver is what formats the page for printing. In the
non-postscript world each driver can format a little differently, so you
need the same driver to compose a doc,say in OO.writer, as you are
priting to.

I am not failiar with RedHat but you need the samba client to print to a printer connected to
another box, the samba server if the printer is connected to your box
and Windows machines will be printing to it. If you have a choice a
Postscript printer is nice to have.

If you have Redhat on your laptop and go to MS office spaces, you will
need samba client to print. Look into Cups, it is a great printig
system, works with Samba also.
