Yes, that is the really nice thing. And oddly enough, in my experience (and
other's, it seems), Windows is actually more stable running under Win4Lin
than on bare metal. Go figure.

Yes, but that shouldn't be the problem. It has installable file system
drivers, so could use any file system. In fact, there exists a driver to at
least read (and maybe write) ext2 from Win2000/XP. I think the problem is
more at the hardware level, and how much "bare metal" emulation 2000 and XP
want to be able to run.
