In regards to the same type of thing I have an OLD Sun SPARC server 10
Dual 40 MHz CPUs. Solaris was SO slow on it I could not consider it
usable. Installed mandrake 7.1 for SPARC..... WOW , it felt "faster and
smoother" I don't know if it was my Linux bias or inexperience with
Solaris But Linux is what the machine has stayed with here at home as a
Play around box.
