I posted the hpparm output in another message. As for scsi emulation, I
tried setting the ide-scsi flag at boot-up, and it seems to take the DMA
setting if I do that, but then when I try to play a DVD, I get all sorts
of different errors (I forget the exact wording) but then at the bottom
of the debug info is says "Is the drive set to use ide-scsi?" or
something close to that, making me think that it doesn't like that for
some reason.

On a side note, I rebooted into Windows, and it says DMA is turned on,
and playing a DVD is smooth like it should be, so it seems DMA is
working there - so it seems that the drive does, in fact, support it.
