Subject: keyboard dies when installing Red Hat

Has anyone here experienced (and hopefully remedied) a problem where a
keyboard works fine up until starting an install? This particular
problem is with RedHat 9 on a newer Dell computer (PS/2 keyboard, not
USB). The keyboard works fine through the POST, and at the installation
boot prompt (lilo?), and then dies when the graphical install starts.
Searching Google doesn't turn up anything...
