The message below came across the RedHat list that I read
and I just called the FTC myself and made a complaint.
It was very easy and I basically told the FTC that
this company SCO is committing major fraud by trying
to make people & companies pay for something SCO does NOT even own.
I got a case number in just a few minutes.
They simply dump the information into a database and the
FTC gentleman told me that if there are enough complaints
and there is a pattern, they will investigate the SCO Group.
So pass this around and start calling the FTC to stop the SCO Scumbags.

I just got off the phone with the FTC. If everyone calls and complains=20
then the chances they will investigate SCO goes up. They look for=20

The guy I spoke with was actually somewhat familiar with what=20 Linux is. One of his first questions was how this company got involved=20 with me, which my answer was "Well, that's the problem. They didn't."
He eventually asked if SCO has contacted me personally with=20 regard to this situation, which they have not. Don't lie to them. Be=20 completely truthful. At the end of the call I got a reference number, and=20 he said that if SCO does contact me personally, I should call back and let=20 them know.
It was very easy to do, and took about 5 minutes of my time.
The recording while I wated for the counselor to pick up the phone did say=20 that the FTC does track trends in complaints. If we get enough people to
complain, something will happen. Please, take a few minutes and call!=20
