     Well, internal modems usually "live" on one or other of the
     two serial ports that used to be standard on all Intel PC's.
     (Ie, COM1 or COM2 in the dos world).

     So, in Yast->Network Devices->Modem Configuration select
     "Other (not detected)" and press the Configure button. Use
     "/dev/ttyS0" (that's a zero) as the device and complete the
     configuration section, then test to see if it works. It it
     doesn't, try "/dev/ttyS1".

     Now, I'm assuming that you can complete the configure
     section, complete ISP etc., entries, pick dial-on-demand or
     not as you wish.

     Let me know how it works out (perhaps off-list?). There are
     other options/tools we can play with if you still have
     trouble.
