You might try the 'rpm-utils' from
ftp://ftp.kaybee.org/pub/linux/redhat/RPMS/noarch/, same place as
'autorpm'. It includes a utility called rpm-get which extracts a
specified file from an rpm. I played around with it on RH 7.1 or 7.2 and
it seemed to work OK, hadn't tried it with 8.0.
