Did the 'oft error prone "upgrade" on my test machine....
Upgrading from Mandrake 9.0 with many additional programs
including various Cooker Rpms , tgzs, PLF rpms etc....
AMD450 384mgs ram, 2 Hd 10 and 15g multiple partitions
using reiserfs, xfs, ext3, ext2...
ne2k-pci NIC
ymfpci onbosrd sound
SiS 530 8mg on board video
USB UNO OmniFlash 128 SM R/W

Well I must say it went amazingly well... The only hiccup with connecting through the
existing server was having to add the zcip-rpm to get masquerading working properly....
All basic functions working well....No config files slaughtered into extinction (This has been
a problem from time to time in the past)......The network setup was recognized and the NIC
was pinging the server from the start....(I use static IP not DHCP)

Anyhow I give it a reasonably good review, for this machine, and this particular upgrade ...

Now I am waiting for the PLF ISO for all the very nice extras Uncle George does not allow us...
