The ATI FIRE GL4 supports linux. In the windows control panel (at least) a
dual monitor setup looks like one monitor. The card can do 1600 wide to
one monitor and 3840 to two monitors.
The dual cable LCD monitors (under $9,000) these days only support 12.5Hz
(yes, twelve hertz) refresh at 3840x2400.
I'm pretty sure that the the card's price has dropped to somewhere in the
400s. It is VERY fast. : )
