Bootp problems

Anyone good at this? I have bootp configured to push an IP to a jetdirect
box so I can print directly via TCP/IP. Worked fine, then I changed
servers; moved the config over, but now it won't pull the address...

/etc/bootptab has the config info; bootpd is set to run from inetd; when
I power-on the jetdirect box bootpd fires up on the server, but the box
never gets it's address... bootps is defined in /etc/services, inetd.conf
has bootps set to run bootpd... It just never gets an address!

I can't find a how-to on bootp, unless it says "use dhcp instead". The
readme's say the same thing... I don't think dhcp is what I really want,
since the jetdirect box doesn't talk dhcp :-)
