Barry,
  Typically the Compaq brand uses the F10 key to enter into the BIOS.
However, if the drive has been changed out, this function will have to
re-added. By downloading the proper "soft-paq", you can format about 4MB
of the Primary drive to add the utility. Once installed, you will see
the "F10 to enter setup" logo on the bottom right of the boot screen. My
DeskPro 2000 had the same problem, however, now it works great.
