hey monk, Im not sure if you know about this but from the command line type
in '/stand/sysinstall/' and go to configuration. You should then be able to
play with the mouse.

ok .. out of a whim i decided to plug my mouse back into the usb port and
now it works in GNOME *shrug* .. but is there a way to set up the usb mouse
for console... something similar to mouse daemon?
