*clears his throat* Well.. the big question is 'is this PowerMac based
around NuBus (legacy Mac) or PCI?'... IIRC that model number sounds like
it is probablly NuBus... in which case, no, you won't find an iso that
will work without a hitch...

if you open it up you can quickly tell NuBus from PCI... nubus cards have
a pins & socket scheme to connect, whereas pci is a card-edge & socket.

I believe, however, that there are kernel/ramdisk boot file replacements
to use the nubus-kernel with some of the common ppc distros, in which case
you just modify the install proceedures a little..

best bet is to go do a google search on 'linux kernel nubus'..

as for ethernet.. you should be able to obtain an ethernet card for it...
nubus ones are still expensive though [*cough*monopoly*cough*] so ask
around... I know there have been some mac users on aklug in the past.
