I have been using Smoothwall sense my first APULUG meeting (A long time
ago), The only complaint I have is they seem to be selling out/going to
corprate, but otherwise, it's awesome....I looked at ipcop, but didn't
bother with it. As far as support, I've never needed it, it works...
