I had written a java app last year that would create hexagonal patterns for saving to a jpg file
or printing out. The save and print functions don't seem to work right on Linux though (does on
Windows). It requires the new java (jdk 1.4). After decompressing type:
java Hexcreator

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that wants to try it, see if they can save or print from
it in Linux:
