Yeah, that is what I was describing. The slot loaders just take a
'naked' cd, and the caddy loaders use the cd caddys, so he wouldn't have
to worry about scratching the disc when the robot handles it.. the bad
this about that though is they are almost exclusively scsi, and all the
ones i've seen are slow (6x and under) I was recommending the
slot-loader with rubberized fingers to keep from damaging the cd... The
bad thing about those are the cost.. the only new one I can find is a
dvd from pioneer which is about $75 after shipping. The best deal on a
regular cd-rom like this is $25 off of eBay for a 20x (or so, i forget)
Something like this would make the robot movements much simpler, which
is always nice when you aren't physically there to make sure it's doing
it right.. :)
