I once had to research this for the ISP I worked for Fairbanks. The
reason that we did not go through with it was simply HD space. We needed
a good 2 terabytes to keep things for a week. Also, where you are going
to get the news feed? We were getting ours via a Satelite link, but I
don't know if they have them for the average joe? It's quite an expensize
project. When I figured it out in 2000, it was roughly $15,000 for the
computer parts. Granted, we had to buy a rackmount case, and good RAM,
but still. That's a lot of money.

In the beginning there was data. The data was without form and
null, and darkness was upon the face of the console; and the Spirit of
IBM was moving over the face of the market. And DEC said, "Let there
be registers"; and there were registers. And DEC saw that they
carried; and DEC separated the data from the instructions. DEC called
the data Stack, and the instructions they called Code. And there was
evening and there was morning, one interrupt.
