Well... the general principle that I've seen with packaged-binary
based systems is "If it can be compiled in, it should be", which
creates dependencies that are sometimes annoying, and
sometime ludicrous. Unfortunately, I see no easy way around that,
as some of the binaries literally won't run if those files are not
there... I suppose modifying the source RPM and re-compiling
would work, but seems to be a larger PitA than just compiling from
the source tarball in the first place..
